Chicky / Duckling Dome Workshop

Discover the fascinating early lives of birds in our Chicky and Duckling Dome Workshop. As you create your display, you will learn how chicks and ducklings are adapted differently from the moment they hatch—ducklings can swim almost immediately, while chicks use their tiny egg tooth to break out of the shell.

Arrange a preserved chick or duckling with moss, flowers, wood and other decorative elements to build a whimsical miniature scene. This unusual hands-on workshop combines natural history, creativity and a few surprising facts, leaving you with a charming dome made entirely by you.

• Suitable for participants aged 10 and above
• No prior experience is required—just bring your curiosity and enthusiasm
• Specimen is already taxidermied, this is a decorative workshop
• teacup can be added during the session upon request

What to Expect

• Learn about local wildlife, animal anatomy and natural habitats
• Assemble and articulate a real duckling. chicky dome of your choice
  
• Create a personalised dome or frame decorated with preserved flowers
• Receive guided instruction throughout the entire process
• Use all provided specimens, tools and decorative materials

Workshop Attendance Policy

Only registered participants are permitted to remain in the studio during the workshop. Family members, friends, and other accompanying guests who have not signed up will be asked to wait outside for the duration of the session.
